Privacy Policy — NickFB

This privacy policy explains exactly what NickFB handles: names you type into the name preview are sent to our server to build the styles and to count popular names, feedback votes are counted, and our server keeps short access logs. NickFB runs no advertising, no Google Analytics and no tracking cookies.

Names you type into the preview

When you press the button to style a name, the name is sent to the NickFB server to create the stylish versions. The name is added to anonymous statistics of popular names (the name and how often it was styled per day, with no account, device or IP attached) and passed to a name-data server run by the same operator so suggestions stay current. Popular names may appear on the site, for example in “Popular names to style”. Do not type phone numbers, addresses or other private details into the box. To remove a name from the statistics, email us.

Saved styles and copy buttons

Copy buttons work entirely in your browser. Styles you copy are kept in your browser’s local storage under “Saved” so you can find them again; they never leave your device and you can clear them with the “Clear all” button.

Feedback votes and notes

When you tap “helpful” or “not helpful”, we store the total count, not your name. To stop repeat votes, the server keeps a hash of your IP address and the page for 1 day. If you add a note, it is saved with the time and page; we keep at most the 300 most recent notes.

Server logs and Cloudflare

Our server records access logs (IP address, time, address requested, browser) to run the site and block attacks; they are deleted automatically after about 10 days. NickFB is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) and may set a short-lived security cookie when it checks suspicious traffic.

Email

Messages to [email protected] are used only to reply and to correct the site, kept while needed and deleted on request.

Children

NickFB is not aimed at children under 13 and asks no one for personal details. A parent who believes a child sent us personal information can email us to delete it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete data we hold about you and withdraw consent. Readers in India have these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; readers in the EU and UK under the GDPR. Email [email protected]; we answer within 7 days.
