Disclaimer — NickFB (Not Affiliated with Meta)

This disclaimer explains the limits of NickFB: it is an independent stylish-name website, not affiliated with Meta, Facebook, Messenger or Instagram, and its passes, risky and rejected verdicts are our own reading of Facebook’s published name standards and reader reports, not a promise of what Facebook will accept.

Not affiliated with Meta

NickFB is not owned, endorsed or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are trademarks of Meta. We do not use Meta’s logos, we have no access to Facebook accounts, and we cannot approve, restore or change anyone’s name.

What our verdicts mean

  • Passes: the style uses only ordinary letters, so it follows Facebook’s name standards as written.
  • Risky: the style swaps letters for look-alike Unicode characters (bold, script, small caps). Facebook may accept it and later ask for a change.
  • Rejected: the style contains symbols, emoji, frames or titles, which the standards do not allow in a profile name.

Most verdicts are rule-based. When a reader or our team reports a real result on a profile, we show it with the date. Facebook can change how it reviews names at any time, so a verdict is guidance, not a guarantee.

Unicode characters, not fonts

Stylish letters are public Unicode characters. They look different on different phones and apps, and a device without the right characters shows empty boxes. Screen readers may read styled letters as symbols, which can make a name hard to understand for people who use them.

Your responsibility

You choose the name you put on your profile. Do not use NickFB to impersonate anyone, mislead people about who you are, or get around Facebook’s rules or a verification request. We are not responsible if Facebook rejects a name, limits name changes or asks you to confirm your identity.
